How hard was it to move the wiring to the new box? I've been interested in this as well as opening the swingback every time is a bit cumbersome. Would you be able to provide the steps to this process?

Thanks!

I got the switch box. Looked at the wiring to see how high I could go. I did not want to add wire. Traced the box minus the 1/4 " lip I think so it was snug and not fall through so you can screw it to the board. Cut an X or U of the fabric so the flap is on top inside when tucked in. Cut wood, cut bac of box so wires would fit enough so you can screw back onto switch ( That was difficult ) Then connect box on wall and screw switch onto box. Oh yeh I did take wires off batteries so I had more flexibility doing the install. I love it! Good luck.
