I am a new bennington owner, just throwing this out there to see if anyone could help. I am attempting to figure this out on my own, just seeing if anyone could help me answer it quicker. I was on the lake for about 6 hours last night, on my way home I plugged in my white marker light and all my accesories turned off. All my docking lights, navigation lights, radio, live well, the depth finder still works though, and no issues with the driving of the boat. I know i blew a fuse somewhere, just seeing if this has happened to anyone else. Any advise would help Thank you.

Mike, if your boat is like mine, there are circuit breakers below each rocker switch, push that to reset.

You have a short circuit in your anchor light, if the boat is under warranty, talk to your dealer to get it repaired, if not, then either your marina mechanic or yourself need to track down the wiring short.

Hope this helps!

Was this a spot light you plugged into a cigarette lighter receptacle? Is so you may have a problem with that receptacle (or wiring to it),you may have a light that draws too many amps for the circuit but this is unlikely.

I would urge you to visit the dealer and let them work this out.

You might want to take issue to the Bennibgton pontoon forum - Most Bennington pontoons have the all around white docking/ navigation light permanently mounted to the bimini top. Sounds like you have a removable pole style all around white light. Do you have the Bennington deck boat? Like others have said it sounds like you may have blown a fuse inserting the pole mount light. You might want to check the pole mount socket to make certain that no foriegn object is inside causing the short, and then chase down the circuit breaker or fuse. I'd inspect the white light light bulb as well. The other issue that comes to mind, and is very common with boats, is a loose ground wire. If your fuse is ok, start from the pole mount socket and work your way back to the helm checking all negative connections. In most cases cleaning and tightening the connections will resolve grounding problems.
