Welcome Loyd! You should get plenty of responses here, with many recent S owners with 150's.

Welcome. Boat shopping is great fun. We'd prefer, and Carl will concur, that the forum is a place NOT to discuss specific pricing or discounts. But we can talk in generalities.

Discounts offered by dealers vary based on a lot of variables such as how long they have had a stock boat, how many special order allocations they have remaining, how many other boats are in inventory, boat show season, desire for your business, trade in values, price matching (or beating) and others. There is not a one size fits all discount.

BM and its dealer network wouldn't appreciate a bunch of owners posting up, "I got __% off MSRP." Again, it's not a one size fits all deal.

So, if you read this and would like to help out a prospective owner, please use the private message feature here to share your experience.

Thanks in advance!

PS, do hold out for a 150! It will be worth the wait..... trust me on that!

Welcome to the party Loyd. Great bunch of folks here and very knowledgeable in Benningtons.

Welcome Loyd, looking at a Bennington for the last ride is a great idea.My biggest suggestion is to set a realistic budget for the boat. And add an extra 10% to that amount for the REALLY WANT IT items, such as a 150. Most of all, remember we like to help spend your money on those items. Good luck with process.

Welcome to the best forum on the internet! I have an S series with SPS but I have a 200 horse Yamaha and love it. We previously had a two toon Benny with a 115 and sold it after 3 months as it just wasn't right for us. Lesson learned. I honestly feel the 22' with SPS and a 150 is the sweet spot for getting the most bang for your buck. You get decent space and great performance with that setup. And regarding pricing, shop around and for me I always found it best to buy in the fall here in MI. Good luck and let us know if you need help adding options etc.

I concur on the 150, i wish i would have went to 175.

Welcome and enjoy the ride! For most people, a good place to start is to carefully examine how you plan on using your new vessel the majority of the time. On the other hand, we based our decision on what it had to do 20% of the time. Go figure...

Welcome to the forum............Buy what you can afford!

We have a 22 SSLX with a 115.  If we had felt like spending into the $50's, I would have gone to a 22 or a 23 with the SPS toons and a 150, as I think that's the way to go for the shorter vessels, but we still love our new baby.  I'm sure you'll love the 150 and the dual bimini.  Nice options to have on blistering days.

I know pricing varies, but we didn't even get into the fourties for our benny.

I'm curious as to how you run a 19p prop on a 150. What is your WOT rpms?

Lightly loaded, myself, (230) 1/4 fuel, bimini down, slight chop, about 42 around 6100.  We were just at Norris, I had over 1000 lb of family, (5 adults 2 kids 1 dog), cooler, toys etc etc seen a high of 36 around 5600, that is approximate from memory.  I just found a video, showing 38.6 at 5950.  Myself, wife, adult male friend, two kids, dog, say 800 lbs, bimini up, 1/2 gas, very small chop on lake.  All with a Lowrance mark 4 GPS, prop was dealer spec'd.  What is your curiosity, if I may?

PS.  Thanks for your service.
