Performance Question

OK ,to all that know these things! If I was to order a new 2275RL today what would be the performance differance (MPH) in 115, 150, 200 and 250 hp power? I a believer in buying as large a powerplant as the wallet can afford but would like to know how much differance there is when the hp goes up! What performance package is best for handling? To many decisions!

Have you looked in the list your specs section yet? You can get lots of boat styles with various hp and motor brands and see top end speed.

Your right too many options!

This what we have and how it performs, 2012 22SSI Mercury 150 four stroke, XL performance package with (3) 25 inch tubes with lifting Strakes on all 3 tubes.

Runs low 40's mph (gps) with 6 adults and 3/4 take of fuel, both bimini's open. Turns very well, nice dry ride and very quick to plane.

We Just sold a 2006 Bennington 2275 GL IO 5.0 liter v-8 Volvo Penta, (3) 25 inch tubes with lift strakes all 3 tubes. Heavy boat, fast 47 mph (gps), great ride, did not turn well and was very fuel thirsty!
