We had a plastic splash guard break off the boat this weekend. I can only assume it was some type of splash guard. I was under the boat and ran along one of the rails against the plywood from side to side. It broke off at the screws, I don't have experience with this? Should I replace it what is it's purpose?

No idea what it was but it sure sounds like a warranty issue.

Should be aluminum that was there. I'm not aware of a plastic under decking that is stock.

Was it the under skinning?!?

I believe some boats have plastic shields to prevent water from splashing up into floor seam areas. Not really underskinning; more like diverters. They could very well be plastic.

Your carpet could get wet at a seam without it. See your dealer.
