I'm about to sh!tcan (see what I did there?) my rank, nasty, blue water leaking potti for a new model.

i know it's been discussed here before, but what are y'all happy with?

I'm kind of leaning in the direction of the pail/seat/plastic bag/kitty litter gizmo. Are these even commercially sold?

Other options? All input welcome.

I literally about to go clean mine out, the one that came with the boat! I managed to get away with 2 seasons and no use. I get all the way out on the water this weekend and my 3 year old say daddy I have to go potty!!!!! :( . So it got broken in! I'm praying right now as I read your post that mine is not leaking in the boat !!!

We bought an emergency one through Amazon. Basically a 5 gallon bucket with a seat. Bought chemical kit that goes into the plastic bag liner in the bucket. It dries up/encapsulates anything in the can and all you do is throw the entire bag away. No mess when or if it tips over. Economical, and nothing to leak. We don't advertise to our GKids that we have a potty. It's amazing how much their young minds work on the power of suggestion or possibility. As for adults, we tell our guests that we have it, and that the user is responsible for clean up. Amazingly   the porta potty has not been used yet.

Works for us, your results may vary.

I like the Thetford Curve for serious usage like on our multi-day boat camping trips. Tall as your home toilet, plenty of capacity, and the powered flusher is a nice touch. Otherwise, a bucket like a luggable loo with some wag bags works pretty well. I've used those on camping trips and rafting trips where a toilet was required but the thetford was overkill. I wouldn't want to mess with a bag where I had to put my own stuff in it. Wag bags (and those like them) have it all inside already and they seal up after use.

What is the chemical kit you buy toner.  I currently use sani bags

You don't need the bio blue with those double doodie bags. They come pre-loaded with all you need. The bio blue is for portable toilets with nothing in them (until you add things).

Thanks Tooner, they look too large for my setup.  This is the one I use as it is designed for and is the size of the commode as I fit a full commode in the privacy of my boat

We use the Thetford 550 and are very pleased with it.  It has a self contained portion that pops off and you walk it right to bathroom and dump.  I think this one is a 5 gallon but you can also buy with a 3 gallon reservoir.

I was looking at the livewell the other day thinking it is perfect for a number one. And if there is a number two, one of those little green nets from the pet store would work great. And since mine is in the L lounge no one would notice...
