I'm curious as to what is in your water where you have to make such an extreme getaway, and once on shore, off road it to get even further!! If I was in trouble on the water I'd have no problem beaching the benny hard if needed, even if it was not my place. Sounds like you might have old nessy in those waters!

We have a multitude of reasons for having a piece of equipment like that

Security here is on Lake with a vintage pontoon.

Unfortunately not always ample for on water security

As Lake Security is on water with the pontoon if assistance is needed from road security this gets them on the water ASAP

The advantage is road and water access in seconds no driving to the marina to jump on the jet ski , no matter where he is on lake's roads he will have water access.

But 

Just in case Nessie makes its way up here we are ready lol
