Hey new to Bennington, and first pontoon. 2013 22SLX 115FL with a 704 Remote control. I have had 3 other boats.
Question/Problem? With the Remote control for the motor I am able to move the selector lever from drive to reverse or vice versa without any
detent or even stiffing of shifter lever motion. I can just bump it to go into neutral and it will very easily go right past and into the opposite gear. (which makes for very sloppy docking) All my other boats have had a finger bar that you pull up to get it out of neutral. Is it normal for the Yamaha to skip across neutral like this or do I have a worn out piece on the inside of the control?
It doesn't help that I am not used to neutral being at a 45 angle on a pontoon, instead of straight up like by other boats (3 different Manufactures).
