I have a 2015 Pontoon with a Black Play Pen Cover that has transferred to light tan seats resulting in a purple stain which then hardened the vinyl making cracks and damage.
Bennington says I am out of Warranty for a new cover however, online it says my year had a recall on the vinyl in the seats. Has anyone had any dealing with this recall?
Also , what is the best way to get my cover replaced? So far Bennington and my local Dealer has been no help.
Thanks.

What website did you read that on ? If it was the cover or seat manufacturer, give them a call .
If it's a fb site ,probably not true about the recall .

In 2015, Bennington Marine issued a recall for certain models of their boats due to issues with vinyl seats.

Recall Details:

  • Affected Models: Primarily 2015 Bennington boats with specific vinyl seat configurations.
  • Issue: The vinyl material may degrade prematurely, leading to potential safety hazards.
  • Recall Action: Owners are advised to contact their local Bennington dealer for inspection and potential replacement of the affected seats.
Safety Recommendations:

  • Check the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) against the recall list.
  • Follow up with Bennington Marine for updates and instructions.
For the most accurate and detailed information, refer to the official recall notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) or Bennington Marine's website.
