I am keeping new Bennington in boatlift with roof and also fitted cover on for the winter. I’m in NC. Do I need to be worried about mice, squirrels, etc. getting under the cover and causing damage? If so, any suggestions to repel them? Thanks!

Mine is stored inside and I use dryer sheets . Others will respond with what they use .

Haven't used them the last few years but we have used Dryer sheets like Jack and moth balls!!! Just put some in a tin foil container or bowl all over the boat especially entrance points and you should be good!!! Don't worry about the smell. Once you take that cover off it'll clear out quickly!

We wrap and leave outside, but I take everything out of the boat except the anchor and one life jacket in case I'm pulled over on the way to the ramp! We also use a ton of dryer sheets in each seat, under the helm. Not sure if it really works, but we haven't had any issues with mice so far.

We clean it and leave dryer sheets too under the seats (opened). Never a problem.

The mice up here in my area make nests out of dryer sheets! Not kidding! Luckily my boats are stored inside and up high on racks but my trailers stay in my yard. I have to ensure every single hole or crevice is filled with stainless steel wool then covered with anti rodent spray foam. They love to eat the wires!

We use Peppermint Essential Oil, premium grade by Majestic Pure. Dilute, put into spray bottle. Use in our Door County trailer. Have our pontoon and 2007 Yukon Denali in storage and spray anywhere there is wiring.
