New to the forum here, but I have a question about a scratch i picked up the other day on my 2018 R23. Was pulling into the dock and the wind got a hold and brushed up into the dock post. As we pulled the boat on I noted the below scratch and a couple other shorter ones.
Clearly, less than ideal in terms of visual impact. However, I'm more concerned with potential structural impact. It is hard to measure true depth, but I'd guess it is less than 1/16th of an inch, but I'm not sure how thick the tube itself is. It is above the water line. I've read a number of forums about how to try and buff it out and may try to do so, but wanted to start with understanding whether I should be more concerned with structural integrity.
Any thoughts or opinions welcome...and yes I've purchased additional bumpers already.
