Has anyone ever purchased the Side Illumination Lights form  a Bennington dealer? If so are they pricey? How about installation? Any Issues after being installed?

Many will tell you they are illegal. Depending on the lake you'll hear different opinions. So far with my dealings; they use it as a reason to pull you over. I've never received a ticket, but I've been pulled over a number of times.
 
So did you purchase your light from a dealer ? How much? Installation ? Issues? Was the question. But thank you for the in put.
 
Came with the boat. Do a search and you should find where others have posted what they did for self installs. I think one member Pdxhosedragger did one.
 
Does anyone have a picture where these get installed by the dealer?  It looks like a possible do-it-myself project but not exactly sure where the put them.  Thanks
 
This is what I have found.  The dealer charges what the price is in the "boat builder", then adds labor to that.  So it is cheaper to order it if you have that option.  So if the side lights are $1000, you will be paying at least $400 in labor.
 
No matter the price, I have all the LED light options and the side illumination is my favorite

Just had my dealer install them, they charged me under $500. For the complete project. They were done exactly like the factory lights and they gave me a year warranty.

I had the same thing done, mine were more than 500 but nowhere close to what they wanted the first time.  They used after market lights.  I could have done it cheaper but I didn't want to deal with running the wires.
 
So can you purchase the lights from the dealer ? And then install them yourself? Has anyone done that? Thank You for all of the input.

Maybe, but lots of time not the case.  Dealers mark everything way up for the same stuff.  My Garmin was about $439 from Amazon.  Same exact one the dealer was going to install, $1098 not including labor.
