So I see that Yamaha recommends spraying down the entire engine with Yamalube (or similar silicone lubricant) to keep it from rusting. Says to spray "everywhere but the O2 sensors.

Anyone ever done this, & anyone know where the O2 sensors are?

I asked the mechanic, who was not Yamaha certified, about doing this. He said only necessary in a salt water climinate. So I haven’t done it. I will be interested in what others say.

Salt water corrosion prevention.

I've read that, too, which is why I'm definitely going to be spraying mine down before heading to the Florida Gulf, this summer.
Where are the 02 sensors?

I'm going to be ordering this today!!

In the exhaust. When I worked at a marina in NJ we would use WD-40 to coat everything on the engine.

I just ordered two cans.
