Signed the paperwork and paid for our slip on Lake Champlain (Vermont) today.

Now all I need is a boat! Dealer said 6-8 weeks delivery (ordered on 3/14) so I'm hoping mid-May for our 2016 22SSLX!

Congrats! Tell us more about the boat on order

Yes, so everyone can tell you what to add to it!  :p  From what I hear, PADS is very expensive!

Thanks!

Here are the basic specs:

22' SSLX in black with Napa Beige soft touch interior, privacy, carpet, 90hp Mercury (command thrust), Garmin 4dv. I know many may think it's under powered and I should've done this or not done that.... that's cool. I'm still stoked!

I ordered a tandem trailer before I found a deal on the slip. I just decided it would likely get more use if I could just hop on and go...  Not regretting the trailer entirely though as I may take it to another lake  (family camp nearby) a few times this summer, that flexibility will be nice.

We love the sslx layout. We're on our second one we liked it so much! Having a trailer will come in handy for maintenance etc. Remember to post pics when it comes in.

We do the same, we don't live on a lake, but have a slip every year on the chain of lakes in our area and love being able to just go there hop in and go.  Have a trailer too so we can go to any of the other lakes when we want to.  Kind of a best of both worlds and love it.

Hoo boy. Heidi, does this story beginning sound familiar! ;-)

Congrats on the new Benni. You will love it. Lake Champlain is beautiful. Even a 90 horse should be plenty fast to out run Old Champy. I'm sure you've heard of Champy. Welcome to the family, and enjoy!

Oh, btw, I'm an old New England boy (Connecticut) that used to spend a lot of time on both the NY and the VT side of the lake. Beautiful place!

We also have a slip for our Benni. It sure makes getting out on the water much easier.

Just a TAD! LOL, but in the end I'm glad we did it and everything turned out fine.

Thanks! Oh yeah... As a native Vermontah, I was introduced to Champ very early on. Maybe we'll finally meet in person! :)

Ok goldnrod24 and hma95, I'll bite... :) What's the scoop?

Oh I posted our new boat build HERE on the forum and got some great advice on some changes, but it was kinda during the "crunch" time, but was able to get it done thanks to Bennington being so great!  And our dealer.  You can read it all in that thread.

Ah. I see! Don't know if I dare click the link! LOL.

I could customize this boat to death (as we all could I am sure). I had to just pull the trigger and get closer to being on the water. I had to avoid analysis paralysis and never place an order.... or worse, avoid having to sell my house to buy the boat $$$$ :)

Congrats on your new boat. It sounds amazing! Have a blast!
