Snap In Seagrass

Hi All;

On my new Q series Benny, I have the snap in platinum Seagrass over the vinyl floor. We are finding it dangerously slippery whenever it gets wet. I am hoping that maybe it's because it is new and whatever factory coating is on it will eventually wear off?... If it doesn't change quickly I will definitely need to change it out for safety sake. I am not exaggerating...

Is anyone else experiencing this with this snap in option?? If I do decide to change it out what else besides carpet are my options??

Thanks!!

Dan

Seagrass wasn't available in 2012 when I bought but I have seen multiple postings on this forum and mostly all say they love their seagrass

I noticed my aqua teak is slippery when wet.....but then again, most surfaces are with water.

Yes, but I believe the "snap-in" seagrass is a completely different animal than the full seagrass flooring. The snap in is more like a Faux seagrass that has a cushioned underlayment with no texture whatsoever.

Thanks, but mine is not just slippery, it's more like someone buttered the floor!  I am really hoping it's just some factory applied coating that will wear off but so far not yet...

I know if I got 303 over spray from the seats on my floor, when it got wet it was very slippery. Perhaps the dealer did some detailing for you?

I have the snap in sea grass carpet that snaps on over the vinyl floor and I haven't noticed it slippery when it gets wet. This is my 3rd summer with it and it has been wet a lot. I am guessing the dealer put some kind of coating on it that is making it slippery.
