So tired of bent cover snaps . . . .

I am so sick of replacing the bent cover snaps around the perimeter of our 2010 Bennington 2554GCW. The snaps are in the worst spot as any time our boat touches the dock, the snaps are bent. Does anyone have any experience with lightweight pontoon covers that have elastic fit or ones that are held on via straps? I'm even thinking of attaching straps to the boat lift that would then attach to the cover but I would prefer to find a lightweight, elastic fit type cover if possible. Let me know if you have had one that you'd recommend.

thanks,
Rick

Do you use fenders or bumpers to prevent the boat from hitting the dock?

There are a lot of aftermarket covers that have some strap type fits so long as you are not concerned about a custom fit. There is another thread on here about a lightweight cover, but its not a great replacement for harsher weather.

Since you have a particular concern and want, are there any canvas shops nearby? If so, perhaps consult with one about what you are looking for and have a custom cover made that meets your specific needs?
