Any Idea what is going on here with these spots that are appearing on the inside of my middle toon? I have put no chemicals what so ever on them. Noticed these spots after the winter. boat is kept on trailer. 2016 Benny SSRX

Do you boat in saltwater or fresh water?  Also, are they on all pontoons, in all places or just specific areas?

If saltwater, try using a solution of 1:1 vinegar and water.

Wondering if you got some bad aluminum on that toon.

I have not seen or heard of anything like this.   I would be sending these pictures to my dealer.

boat has only been in fresh water. it seems to only be on the center toon as of now. It looks to me like it is spreading forward on both sides of the center toon only .

I have some spots on mine as well. I'll try to take some photos later.

Could it be hydraulic fluid leaked from the helm, that maybe dribbled down below?

Mine are actually a little different but I don't like how they look.

I have a few of he same spots. Would be nice to know what causes them and how to clean them off. My boats is in fresh water and stored in a dry boat barn.

Yeah I have noticed the same thing on mine the other day. Has anyone found out anything on it and why they do that. I use mine in fresh water and store it in a dry shed.

I'm sure everyone will not like what I'm going to write. But the spots look normal to me. It's just a normal reaction that happens to aluminium. All of my pontoons have had the look.

This is where the sharkhide fanatics like to Jump on the looks! Not to say their wrong or anything, but I'm not going to spend countless hours on trying to keep them shiny.Maybe the next Benny after I retire!

It didn't take long. And your afraid of salt water too!

All kidding aside, sure would be nice if Mother Nature would let up on the mid atlantic and allow us to boat!

Got two mediocre days on Memorial Day weekend. The weather around here has been $h!tty.

As for the spots it probably just some form of corrosion on the unprotected aluminum. I'd see how easily it's removed and that'll give you an idea of what if it's just a surface issue. Anythings possible as for the patterning, production handling etc. It just may be hard water stains too depending on the water quality. I'd clean it and see if it returns the same way

We've started into the rainy season a little early down here.  It's been rainin' like a cow pissin' on a flat rock for the last 4 days.  I guess the good news is I couldn't use the boat even if I wanted to.  :p

Ugh, we're coming down next week to tend to some things on our house. Forecast of rain ~80% every day!

Yeah, rain all next week.  Usually it's only in the afternoons, but the forecast for next week is gloomy.  I'm out in CA all next week though, so I won't get it.  Our lake is really filling up.  It's up at least a good foot in the past 4 days - and still coming down.

When will we get to see pics here ?

Mine don't have the spots (yet) but looked pretty ugly after sitting in the lake all last season. As such, I had them (shudder) acid washed. I haven't seen the boat yet this year but I'm hoping that the toons look uniform at the very least.
