Hey anyone have any tips or advice on adding a Power Knob to a Pontoon.
I see they are very common in Sport Fishers and other boats. And on many occasions I have thought. It sure would be nice to have one of those?

I have one, and I like it. And this one looks to be way better than mine. What I don’t like about mine is the clamping hardware on the underside is not as hidden as this one.

I also have one and love it. Somehow it allows me to easily dock or drive when pulling tube / wakeboard. Similar to Joeb14, mine has a simple nut that is visible at the bottom. I paid about $25 at the time and it was worth it to me.

I have one and love it. I got it originally with water sports, mainly tubing, in mind. Wouldn’t want to be at the helm without it for tubing. What I had not anticipated is how much nicer it would also be for docking and tight maneuvering. Minimally, if you will do any water sports, I cannot recommend adding one enough. It’s a game changer!

The one we got was a very economical one off amazon. It is holding up great after 4 seasons, and blends nicely with our steering wheel and helm.

Where on your steering wheel are users installing their knob (and left or right handed)? Seems the 2 o'clock position would be about right?

For me, I mounted it around the 9:00 area. I use my left hand to drive and then my right hand can stay on the throttle to make adjustments in speed and forward / reverse as necessary.

LOL - right, there is that throttle thing to keep in mind!!! Winter is a terrible thing on the memory, too long away from the Benny!!!

Ditto. I am around 9-10 o’clock for this very reason and water sports. Right hand on throttle, left hand on the steering wheel knob, and head on a pivot.

My wheel looks very much like this. I was trying to figure if it was possible or worth it to try & do the “Bolt threw” installation like they do with the Wheels that have a specific hole for the power Knob. I’m sure it would require a Shim & or spacer but might be worth it. So tired of looking at all the different funky looking ones, so many look like tacky junk :)

I have the same steering wheel. I got the one I have because it was cheap, but still flowed naturally with the black leather and chrome steering wheel. Not a great pic, but the only one I could find of it on our boat:

That is the one I just purchased! Agree, matches look. I assumed the larger diameter 1.3" vs the 1" was the correct size - do you happen to know what size you purchased (they offer two - Hypersonic Steering Wheel Knob - $17 on amazon). It comes with a rubber wrap to customize the diameter.

Off hand I do not. Whichever size I actually got at the time was dialed in with the rubber wrap on the interior diameter. I thought I got the 1”, but I am not 100% sure. Sadly when pulled up in Amazon, it doesn’t give me the specific size one I purchased.
