On my 2005 bennington 2575 rfs I am sporting a brand new upgrade to the stereo setup. I've never been happy with the aftermarket setup I installed a few years back, and after hearing my son in laws setup on his crownline, I immediately pulled my old system and went whole hog. I purchased 4 JL audio 6.5 coax speakers, 1 JL 8" subwoofer, and a JL marine amp 700 watts/ 5 channel. I also added a new Sony MEX100BT head unit. Fifteen hundred and change..but I can't begin to tell you what a difference it made. JL is top of the line and you get what you pay for when it comes to equiptment at this level. I highly recommend you spend the money if you want quality sound. The salesman that I dealt with was very nice to work with and although I installed it myself, he told me to bring the boat to town afterwards and he tuned the amp to the head unit for me. I boat a lot on the ohio river and there are plenty of stretches where we can turn it up a bit without disturbing the corn crops..lol. Now on the Rough River state park reservoir that will be a different story, however the sound is so much better at any level that it was well worth it.... just hope the wife doesn't catch wind of how much I spent...
