Just getting the boating season underway. I was cleaning the boat up this weekend and noticed my gates were a little sticky. Not sure spraying WD40 on board is such a good idea. What should I use to lube the gates up just a bit? Thanks in advance.

That's what I use, WD40.

Or you could try Silicone Spray

I vote silicone. I've always felt wd40 is a great lubricant, but also a dirt magnet.

I use a Dupont product that doesn't attract dirt at all. I buy it at Lowes, but I'm sure many other stores carry it. It is called Dry Film Lubricant, and it is always in the tool section near the air tools. Shake well before each use, then it will spray out as a liquid and rapidly turn to a solid lubricant. Great for sliding door tracks, etc.
