Howdy Y'all. My boat came with a Garmin Striker 4 (which Has a CHIRP transducer). For the sake of making my upgrade easy, I'm considering buying a (roughly) similarly sized Chartplotter (ECHOMAP 43/44/45 cv all appear to be about the same size, and run a CHIRP transducer).

Few questions I have before I place my order on Monday:

Has anyone else done a similar upgrade?

Do any of the Chartplotters fit perfectly in the same mounting spot? If not, which one would require the least modification?

Can I reuse the existing transducer, or, if not, can I use the same cable? (Trying to avoid this becoming a major rewiring)

Following up, after reading through documentation, DEFINITELY going to need to do some work beyond just a simple swap. Seems like based on flush mount manuals for the Striker plus 4 vs echomap plus 45cv, that I might need to break out starboard to fill the hole created during the Striker install and then cut the flush mount template out of that

. The panel the striker sits in fits only the striker. I looked at a lot of different ones.
