Am I alone here or is it just me, stupid stuff, just thinking of being on the lake and I am a happy boy of 59 years. Hope everyone is getting ready for a wonderful Bennington season. Your stupid thoughts? I have many.

You are definitely low on things to do. Wait a minute I replied to your question. Waiting for new boat.

I too am more than ready. Our lake is down 7 feet and the water is still cold. Even at that, I have been thinking of towing to the put in and just sitting in the boat. I could listen to some tunes and just enjoy the view of what water there is. LOL Although, if I got that close, I would have to put in.

Happy boating to all.

Actually guys, my boat will be in next Friday and I can now admit that the following week some of my boating friends are coming over for "cocktails", just to sit in it. I have a 60X80 heated steel building, so the partys on no matter what. (It was good therapy to get that out after reading your posts).

Apparently I never got your invitation for "cocktails"

Where do you normally launch or dock at Cumberland ?

I was at Jamestown last year but moved to Conley Bottom this year. Jamestown was much easier to launch at as their ramp is VERY steep. It allows the boat to float on and off with no fight whatsoever. Launched at Conley yesterday for the 1st time. Truck almost had to have water in the doors to get the toons off the bunks.

We are slipped on pier 6. If you are planning a trip that way, shoot me an message.

You know, I experience just the opposite when launching from a steeper ramp. My "home" ramp is very steep and I find since I have such a long boat (2575), that I have a harder time aligning the rear of the boat. Thats why in a steep dock I try to leave more of the trailer out of the water, to catch more of the front of the toon and when pulling up out of the water the rear side swings side to side less.
