Tears in Bimini Cover

We purchased our 24SSL in June. Probably have 18 hours on it and love every minute. The problem is we have (2) small tears in the Bimini cover. These are approx. 2" long and are very close to a support. They look as if cut with a knife. Any ideas why and how to repair ?

I would check with your dealer as to a warranty issue. Our bimini had small tears from getting caught in the bimini frame.

Can you share pictures? I would like to keep an eye on mine. Any idea how this might have occured? I know I don't care for the way my playpen cover fits over the Bimini cover frame support on the rails. Very tight and looks like it could fail very easy. I am bringing some foam patches to cover these supports to see if this improves it.
