UltraLegs Dropped A Few Inches After Winter Storage - Is That Normal?

Hello All,

I need some feedback from my fellow UltraLeg owners on something I noticed and not sure if it's normal or not. Let me explain by giving some background information. Last Fall, when I was done boating for the season, I do my normal routine. Load pontoon on the trailer, winterize the motor and do a through cleaning both inside and out. When the pontoon is loaded on the trailer, my UltraLegs are fully retracted and up against the rubber stops. Pull both batteries from the pontoon and put them on the charger over the Winter. When I took my pontoon out of storage a few weeks ago, I noticed my UltraLegs (both front and back) had dropped a few inches (maybe 2 inches) and no longer up against the rubber stops. I looked around the pontoon and didn't see any evidence of a hydraulic leak. I reconnected the batteries and operated the legs and they worked fine. Is that normal for the legs to drop a few inches during Winter storage? Or is that the onset of something serious and I should get it looked at? The same thing happened last Spring as well. Just trying to wrap my head around why the legs would drop slightly if there is no hydraulic leak (that I can tell). Any insight or feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have Ultra Legs and have never experienced a situation that you described. I could be wrong, but sounds like a very small leak in the pump draining back into the hydraulic reservoir? Is your reservoir at the correct fill height? Might be worth a quick email to Ultra Legs.

Below is the email response I received from UltraLegs to my question above. Feel much better :)
