Just purchased QX with twin 300 Yamaha with Helm master. It’s great a docking in heave wind and tight maneuvering
I keep getting low voltage alarm

Does the low voltage alarm seem to be tied to the demands of the the Helm Master? The power for the active steering control during fancy maneuvering all comes from the battery. The motor charging system should stay on top of all this but if one event is tied to another that might give you a clue. Any boat with Helm Master is pretty special. I am sure that others would love to hear more about your boat. Please supply photos.

Plainly speaking, if the reading is correct you need to charge your batts. If they aren't charging after running the outboard then you potentially have bad batts or a wiring issue (bad ground, not wired properly, battery switch issues etc.)

I would put a multimeter on the batteries first to confirm
what your MFD is showing. You should have 12.6+ volts at rest. When running it should increase to 13-14v. Troubleshoot from there.

I get frequent electrical error messages - have not confirmed but after testing conclude - one of the batteries is direct wired to the power steering, so after a long day if I am not using that battery the system picks up the low voltage and creates the error. When I switch to the second battery (at which point generally I have to switch to 1+2), the issues goes away, both batteries get charged, and I am good for another day out.

You are the perfect candidate for the Blue Sea SI-ACR switch! Charging both batteries on the run but isolation to prevent your crank getting drained.

You will thank me later, trust me!

Thank you - added to the project list! Seems like a no brainer as far as being a critical part of a good 2 battery system.!!!!
