Still planning ahead for a Bennington purchase next year.
Am looking at QX 25' with the ESP+ package.
The Bennington website is somewhat glitchy in just a few aspects in the "Customize and price" section (e.g. - offering lifting strakes as an add-on when you've already selected the ESP+ package -- which to my understanding is already included).
Just confirming that this "Wavetamer to Bow 3 Tube Upgrade" is indeed separate from the ESP+ package? And for those who have it - are you glad you paid for the extra option?
I'm not sure how much of a difference this $600 upgrade makes in terms of handling or performance (?).

Thanks!

If I am not mistaken, the wave tamer starts where the wave shield ends and covers to the bow . That was how it was when I ordered my last 1 in August of 2021 . I did not ordered it .

Thanks, Jack - but do you mean it comes with the ESP+ package or is it in fact an extra option?

And for any others who have it - would love to know your thoughts on whether it is worth it.

YES, the website is tricky and will let you add items already included. I started with a stock boat and documented all the details from the last tab that lists standards, as each model is different. Also check out the various information areas of the website, here is the one that specifies the details of the ESP Package: https://www.benningtonmarine.com/en-us/performance-packages/ . I would assume your Q would come with more of these upgrades than say an L. I must have called my dealer a dozen times, and then finally showed with up with a 2 page excel list. He got everything corrected, removed duplicates, and suggested a few items that I added.

You are buying a premium boat, I suggest considering most of the options, if nothing else for resale. The two items I missed: The RubRail protector to protect where the boat rubs againsg the trailer front rails (though I trailer with the boat NOT resting on them); washdown.

This is an add on option. The normal underskirting stops about 2-3’ from the bow on the under side of the boat. This options continues the underskirting all the way to the bow. If you would ever want access to that area, I suggest not getting it. If that would never be an issue, it gives the underside of the boat a “finished” look with the underskirting. On most lakes and trips water and waves do not spash up and hit the front underside of the bow, hence the normal underskirting stops at that point. If you were in big waves and water it may have a slightly practical impact, but otherwise it really just completes the underskirting up to the bow and gives a finished aluminum look the entirety of the underside of the boat.

Hope that makes sense and explains it well Viking.

Oh got it okay very helpful! If I plan to get Ultra Legs or Sea Legs, I’m assuming that doesn’t impact the decision to add this?
It doesn’t impact it at all. You could go with a set of legs regardless of whether or not you get this option. BTW, overall we really like our Sea Legs. If you go with Sea or Ultra legs, we hope they work as well for you as ours do for us.
