Where to boat

Hello and welcome to the forum Kirk.

As for your question. I have never been in that area of the state boating. However, years ago my Dad spent a day or two on Lake Livingston out northeast of Huntsville. He said it was a nice big lake. Just going on his word on that.

As for other spots in that region, you might try Toledo Bend, Whitney, and Sam Rayburn.

If you are willing to travel a bit more, there is always Lake Texoma, Possum Kingdom, and several other well known lakes in the state.

I have made the trip from my area(the Panhandle) to Texoma and Possum Kingdom both. They are definately must see lakes in our state. Owning a boat is really a neat adventure as you get to go places and see things you haven't been to.

Good luck in your search.

You have Lake Houston near US59 and FM1960. If you want to put in saltwater, you have all of Galveston Bay system. Your choices are endless. What part of Houston?

From that side of town you have Lake Conroe, Fayette County, and Lake Livingston.
