Yamaha 115 throttling back

Hi all, I've 1 2004 Yamaha 115 4 stroke. If I push it to 6200RPPM after a minute or less it throttles back to 4500RPM and stays there. A couple minutes later I try it again and the same thing. Runs all day at 4500 but above that it throttles back. Any Ideas on what to check?

throttle cable tension needs tighten up at your control box. You show have a access panel below your throttle control.

I’ll check that but it doesn’t seem like the cause. I would think there would be other throttle control issues if the cable was slipping

Check all fuel filters and the squeeze bulb if it’s installed.
