Lillipad Revo Ordered!

I got mine last week and it is at my shop. Need to pick a weekend to pull my boat out and do several projects at one time including installing the ladder, putting on the Turbo Swing, installing cup holder, new registration numbers.....

The only thing I was a bit disappointed in, given my bias to buy American products when possible, is the ladder was "Made In China". I am well aware of how much is produced there, been there several times in a prior career, just hoped a product like a ladder would be made here. But it is going on the boat soon :)

It would appear she should no longer be driving pending some medical emergency. That could have killed someone. Goodness. Hope she was okay, and it was only property damage, but that is concerning.

Oh wow, did not see the pictures when I saw post on my phone....I can see why the comments now. Thought she just hit it a bit in the driveway...Hope people and property all will be ok.

Did you get your install done? I still have mine in a box and need to get the boat out to install mine, new registration numbers, and a PTM Mirror and some cushions covered by warranty. List is growing each day!!
But i bought a new track car and it is taking some time too!!

That is a huge disappointment. My opinion of these ladders just plummeted.:(
 
Comments like this make me laugh. As you're writing that post from a chair made in china, on a computer or phone made in china, with a bennington that's assembled with parts from all over the world. If the ladder was 100% made in the usa tack on another 500-1k
 
So finally got around to getting the install done.
1.drilled out the rivets on a few pieces of the under skin with a unibit.
2. remove old ladder hardware.
3. mocked up location for new ladder. I could have moved it around a little and covered the existing holes but that would have needed me to order the risers from lillipad. The other issue I would have down the road is the sun shade I plan on adding has a receptacle bracket that will cover the outer ladder hole. Cory form lillipad sent me two cover up screws. They fit great and when tightened down they are flush.
4. mark out and pre drill all hardware holes. I started out with a smaller bit and worked my way up. Be careful not to bottom out the drill due to all the rigging that runs right under the new mounting point.
5. I ended up using a combination of the self tapping screws and nuts and bolts. I was able to get underneath every location so I didn't have to rely on the wood screws that were provided at all.
6. I will say the alignment screw tool was a nice touch to get the bolts through when mounting the ladder to the frame.

Overall I'm super happy with it. I still have to reattach the under skin pieces. I will probably drill and tap the holes out like I did on the front panel for my train horn install. I'm glad ill never have another pinched finger from that telescoping ladder.

Thank you so much for posting. And great job, looks clean! Two questions did the cover up screws come with the ladder or did you have to call Lillipad and that is how Cory sent them to you? Also did the alignment screw tool come with the ladder or you had that? Mine will be going on this month some time, I hope, need to get it done.

I ended up texting Cory last Sunday when I first started tinkering with it. He got back to me right away and said to skip the riser kit and that he would send out the two cover up screws. The Alignment screw tool was included with the hardware bag.

What is the "riser kit"? That was not mentioned in my discussions with them when I ordered mine. Do not see any mentioned on their website now. I will inquire now on the cover screws. Thanks
 
They can provide these plastic risers if you need to clear a big corner cap. Its in one of the videos on their install page. I was going to go that route until I found out about the cover screws they can provide if you need them. If i did the riser kit and covered the two holes from the ladder I would have screwed myself down the road when I add the gemlux sun shade I plan on purchasing at some point
