Woah.... This looks great! Did you do the dual motor setup yourself? I'd love to add another one to mine but I don't think I'm gonna be able to do it as a DIY
Big fan of this setup for a grill now that I've taken the time to look at it. I like the minimal impact when the post is off, I'll have to take a look at the installation process and location to make sure I don't dig myself a hole!
I agree: looks like a great way to mount some hardware for...
Awesome! The price is definitely right... I may just switch over for the bumpers on this since I'm not seeing a lot of variation in my hang height like I did with the 'old V-hull. Definitely doing the glovebox mod, surprised there is no storage already but that's a minor complaint
That's what I was thinking as well: will need to update to a deep cycle for house current! Fortunately, I'm also doing this in my tacoma (just need to buy the battery) so the wiring is familiar enough so far..... Might end up putting an ARC splitter in there somewhere to ensure the house batt...
Do you mind if I ask how you secure it while underway? Seems like plenty of room, just don't want to be that guy pitching a cooler off the rear at 30+mph
It is a 2016 24 SPDX, so a good amount of room on both the bow and stern decks. I've seen others that mount their yeti coolers on the rear but wasn't sure how they were securing these down...
Thanks! I'm super excited as well!
Glad it wasn't too much detail! I'm very much in the same boat: no training and intuitively questionable....but I can google!
Hey Folks!
I've been looking around for a solution for additional storage and was curious if anyone came across something like this before: Has anyone found any storage containers made specifically, or working great, for the bow or stern of their 'toon? I'm thinking perhaps like a narrow...
So, first: Apologies for the photos if this is too much, I took these to make sure I was looking at this correctly while at the sandbar and always figured that more photos is fine so long as it's not overkill (pushing the limit!)
Anyway, I FIGURED IT OUT!!!! Thanks everyone for the help in...
Batteries were new this year according to the seller/original owner, he had been taking off the negative leads on the batteries when not in use to 'minimize draw when not being used' (this makes more sense now that I've figured it out!!!). Was thinking the same thing: had a battery that maybe...
I've been looking at these as well. Am I mistaken, or are these the same clips that are being used for the "yeti glove-box" mod? (aka, the waterproof bag hanging next to the driver's seat). Looking to do that myself!
I love these but the price was a deal killer for me since I was looking for a 4x solution (one at each corner of the boat). Otherwise, looks to be top notch!
Update: Still troubleshooting, but new information
Ran through wiring under helm, no shorts or problems there. Looks like batter #2 (accessory battery, not starting battery) has gone completely dead. I think it has been draining over time and just finally flatlined based on all of the...
