    Didn’t order Elevated Helm....but

Honestly, this project has fallen off the radar screen. However, we came off the last Royal Caribbean cruise ship returning to Port Canaveral (Orlando) prior to the industry shutting down, so we have been self quarantining for 14 days...ends Sunday! This may be a great project. Trust me, I...

    Loading Tritoon on Trailer

Dennis, all of us have at one point or another had a difficult moment loading the trailer or docking. Winds and current can really be a problem with any boat. And we have all learned that Pontoon boats in particular have a significant wind load or profile. Learning how to manage this comes...

    Boat Tent

Yep it gets pretty warm in the summer....BUT aren’t you still using the Benny? Except for the wind this is the best time to go boating! Maybe you need two Bennys. One here and one up north...now that’s perfection!

    Tri-Toon Trailer Guides

I took things a step further. I have two pairs of interior guides, like Tin Diesel PLUS a pair of Outside Guide Posts. Sure helps on a windy day.

My Simrad G05, just in the wrong location!

I tried adjusting the steering wheel but it was always in the way. I have noticed on some of the new models they have raise the location of the Simrad which is a vast improvement. Now if I can only find a G07 display on the cheap!

    Didn’t order Elevated Helm....but

Whatever I do has to be done in place due to the Waveshield which would have to be removed...again! I may try the aluminum spray paint first. If it doesn’t work out then I will add the Bud decal :p

My Simrad G05, just in the wrong location!

I’m very pleased! However, I can see where a younger crowd would have more interest in Audio. I just use the G05 too often to be bothered with peering around a steering wheel. Now, if I could just find a good used G07 display to replace the G05??? The G07 allows for an external alarm and the...

    Didn’t order Elevated Helm....but

We have considered exactly what you recommended. My only thought against this is the foam holding water and possibly causing corrosion down the road???

My Simrad G05, just in the wrong location!

Having used my Benny in the Florida Keys several times and again on several shallow rivers in our area, I have become particularly irritated with the Plotter being beneath the Steering Wheel. I was always having to look around or thru the Steering Wheel (see picture). As you can see the Simrad...

    Didn’t order Elevated Helm....but

When we ordered our 22ssx I opted against the Elevated Helm as I feared it might be a trip hazard. However, I quickly learned that having a boat full of guests seriously reduced my forward visibility...too many heads in the way. So I asked my Dealer, Gary’s Boating Center in Lake Wales, if he...

Great vacation with my Bennington at Nolin Lake, Kentucky

Steve, I have operated boats for much of my life, but I found my 22’ Benny was a bit more challenging. So I decided to add the trailer guides (the white poles on the side of the trailer) and inner tube guides to assist in the loading process. Without the vertical white poles at the end of the...
