Question For Team Bennington On QCW 2575

I have asked the question several times. I got jerked around by my dealer who quoted me a ridiculous price just for the parts. I tried to get more info from my dealer and they just ignored my request. I got the run around from the Bennington Rep I when asked about the prices I received. My...

    Garmin 541S

I wrapped up the install at lunch time today. The back bone is necessary. I still do not understand why but hey, it's working. I ended up leaving the wires I had spliced and the MARE-002 in place. I just hooked the Mare -002 into the backbone cable in the Garmin starter kit and put power...

    Radio antenna options

We just stream Pandora over our cell phone. There is an auxilary input in the front of the radio. I ran a 90 degree plug out of the front of the radio and under the helm up along the right side. $8 cord from amazon. I pull the wire around to where the gps/depth finder is and secure it in the...

    Garmin 541S

A little update on the install. After spending hours trying to figure out why I could not get engine data to appear on the 541 screen I conceded and waited on the phone for Garmin tech support for about 30 minutes. Within 3 minutes of discussion he had my answer. In order to get the engine...

    Garmin 541S

Well I did the install the Garmin 541S over the last couple of days. Pulling the wires thru the underside of the boat proved to be less difficult that I thought. Just need someone skilled with a fish tape or 9 gauge wire to hit the right spot. I ended up using a small air powered sawzall to...

    Garmin 541S

I got a chance to use the 541s that I purchased along with the v2 blue chart chip. We are up in Door County, Wi and it succesfully navigated us on a nice 20 mile ride today. The "Q" handles incredible even in fairly rough water. I tried to install it on Friday but ran into a little snag with...

    20 hour check

my wrench said he would do it if I wanted but if it was his boat he would bring it in at the end of the season. He said you made the right choice and bought the yamaha. Enjoy the rest of the summer. Bring it in for the winterize and he would take care of it then. Justin

    I'm Bumed Out! (Not)

I agree with the others. The repair would be the temporary fix to get you back on the water until the full replacement with new parts can be done. Justin

    Garmin 541S

I thought about using a rotozip or a dremel tool. I found a small air operated sawzall with a fine blade. The foot print of the tool will allow controlled cutting of the surface. Rotozip and dremels tend to wander when you have no guide. I would shoot myself if I mess up that pretty dash...

    2nd Bimini Top Add on

Does anyone know what the reasoning is for not having the 2nd bimini top as an option on the "Q" model? I asked my dealer to get me a price for the 2nd top and their response was it is not an option offered but they will sell the parts/pieces and then I have to get it fabricated/installed by a...

    Garmin 541S

Thanks for the tips. What kind a saw do you or will you be using? I was trying to figure that out this morning. A miniature saws-all seems to fit the bill but I am not sure if there is such a thing. All my tools are to big to fit down into the recessed area without contacting sides of the recess.
