I had a Sirius unit on my old pontoon (sorry no pictures available) and it worked well. I mounted the antenna on a stern rail because it stuck out of my boat house and I like to lie down on the pontoon and listen to jazz with an occasional adult beverage. Now I use my iPhone app.
Any mounting...
Getting back to the original question, our dealer recommended the textured panels. He said that they were less susceptible to damage from bumpers/fenders.
Not a stupid mistake, simply something that didn’t work as hoped. If everything you attempt works, you aren’t pushing the envelope had enough. The vintage control does look cool. Maybe you can use it for bar taps.
I wouldn’t think anyone would remember Bennington vendors from 2006. Even if they did, it is unlikely that such vendor is still around. I would check with local boat upholstery shops and/or various online pontoon interior vendors to see what is available. Same for the fencing.
For what it is...
I don’t actually know, but I’m pretty sure none of the cleats or eyelet are strong enough. You probably have to lift the boat up using the crossmembers.
I looked into re-powering my old pontoon before buying my ‘22 Bennington. I couldn’t justify the cost to re-power vs buying a new boat. Is your boat approved for 140 hp?
