Your little factory cubby is perfect for the remote at least.
The other problem with putting things on the dash I found was when I leave my phone on the dash to play music it overheats with the sun shining on it so now it stays cooler and more protected.
The Deep Blue ones come in a bunch of...
If I was just looking for just storage I probably would’ve did something like that as well but the remote volume control for my powered sub (mounted inside compartment) isn’t waterproof so I had to find a way to keep it accessible but also out of the elements.
Thanks. I purchased it online from a place called Deep Blue Marine Products. Their stuff isn’t exactly cheap but I was really impressed by the quality of it and they have a wide range of options. I’m fairly sure that they sell a lot of their products to manufacturers as I’ve seen several storage...
One thing to check is if you have water in your pontoons. I just had our 2018 fixed this spring and also had a leaking toon on a 2008 previously. It’s more common than a lot of people think. It doesn’t take much water in the toons to make a big difference on performance.
Since I’ve installed my Rockford powered sub a while back I couldn’t find a good place to install the dash mount remote for it. I also lacked a good spot for my wallet, sea legs remote, cell phone, ect. I came up with this solution and it worked out pretty nicely. It’s been great to have the...
We have a 2018 23ssbxp (swingback) with SPS and a 150hp Merc (no power steering). If you are going to be into water sports then the infloor storage is really nice to have. It’s huge and keeps the bulky wakeboards, kneeboards, noodles, ect. out of the way. Sometimes I wish I would’ve went with a...
I agree it’s not the same but it should be priority #1. It’s pretty important that a boat doesn’t leak, pontoon or otherwise. I like Bennington but I’ve had 4 different brands of pontoon boats and both Bennys I’ve owned have leaked. Call it bad luck, or whatever you want, but it’s still...
I don’t think it’s a real common problem but I think it happens more than it should. It happened on my last Bennington and this is the second time on the new one (2018). I’m no engineer but I’m sure extra measures could be put in place to help prevent leaks. Especially at the price point of...
That’s exactly what I’m confused about. I guess we shall see as the water in my tube is in the front and I plan on drilling the rear tube anyways to add drains. We’ll see if the water comes out or not.
That’s what I was thinking but it’s strange that welding shops are adding the drain plugs at the back of Benningtons then. I’ve seen it done several times, including the 2005 Benny I had that also started leaking.
