I hear that Suzukis are reliable and bullet proof too.

    300 Yamaha vs 425 Yamaha

I'd go for that but it looks like Bennington only puts them on 10 foot wide boats. Trailering it may be an issue for me. Some states require permits. Wish they would try twins on an 8'6" wide boat.

Hadn't seen these numbers. Looks fast enough for me. I'll find those other test boats. Thanks, Scott

Thanks for the reply. I will go with the 425. I don't mind some noise and I bet it feels like a muscle car

Hello Illinois, MPH yes. We plan to run up the east coast intracoastal. May be heading your way if you are on the Illinois river or Lake Michigan. Two legs are completed. In 2017, we did 1400 miles Paducah, KY to Sarasota, Fl (2006 JC 266 Classic 225 Honda). This summer we did leg two...

We plan to run 35-38 all day long. Would the 425 sound drive us nuts? Thank you for your reply. I look forward to your thoughts...

    300 Yamaha vs 425 Yamaha

Hello all! I'm considering Bennington and looking for advice. In short, would you put a 300 HP Yamaha or 425 HP Yamaha on an 25 R/RX series? Do you think that the 425 would be too loud when running 4000-5000 rpm? Thanks in advance for any advice... Scott

300 HP motor on 23 RSBA Bennington

I think 6-8 inches are out. I’m good with it as long as there’s no known issue with it. Thanks for the help.

300 HP motor on 23 RSBA Bennington

First time post. Thanks for having me in the group. I’m looking at a 24 ft or so R series Bennington. It has a beautiful 300 hp outboard on it. My question is: Do you think it is too much weight on the back of a 24 footer and causes the back of the toons to sit low in the water. Just looks...
