GIDDY UP!!!!

We hung out with the heir to the Coca Cola fortune, John Woodruff, a few summers about 10 years ago when they came to Lake Murray for some poker runs. His girlfriend and my wife hit it off. John had (and maybe still has) a 48' MTI super cat named Windship. He also has the matching F750 tow rig, tilt trailer, a Prevost bus and a helicopter -- all painted in matching Coke colors. He drives them all (flies the helicopter).

Yes sometimes too much boat for a lake. It’s great when they put guidelines in place so you can’t drop a huge boat that’s too big for a smaller lake. If not it can be dangerous for others on the lake. Safety first.

... That is a lot of boat for Lake Murray or any except Great Lakes, but Lake Wylie and Lake Norman have them too.... always amazes me.
Lake Murray is about 35 miles long (including the rivers portion) and 14 miles wide, but I agree with you. I rode on a 38 Skater doing 126 MPH and it chews the miles up quickly. (Wife and I rode separately because we have a kid. They went 142 MPH when it was her turn.)

We used to have a huge poker run and incredible boats from all over would come. Pure Platinum out of Florida was here and that one does more than 170 MPH.

Okay I've driven cars on tracks for years during training in the 135/140 mph range. I could NOT imagine 126 and 142 mph in a boat on the water!!! Wow!!!
