Yes it did! Anyone know how to buff the shine back into black paint?

Bennington is sending me something called DC9 which is suppposed to take the streaks off. Now I just need to repair the dull finish from the magic erasers.

Buffer and buffing compound. Problem is there's not a lot of paint there so you have to be VERY easy on buffing. Been there done that in a white toon where a "for sale" sign marred the paint.

I have moved the boat so it's no longer next to the boat lift so I won't need fenders nor will water run off canopy onto side of boat

Any suggestions on a buffing compound? I have an orbital buffer I use to take scratches out of gel coat and a random orbital I use to wax boats. Any suggestions on which would be best?

I would use the orbital as it won't take much from the finish.
