We cruised in our Bennington to a special dock off of Peter’s Creek in Green Cove Springs, Fl. recently and look what we found.

This dock is built over the original dock where the late Great Ronnie VanZant of Lynyrd Skynyrd wrote the words to several hit songs but particularly “Sweet Home Alabama.”

He wrote a few more songs on this dock but none more popular and certainly none more played than Sweet Home.

I just saw them with ZZ Top about 3 weeks ago, sadly none of the original members are with us and Dusty has passed away. But Elwood is getting better.

Yup that's the sad thing about the older groups. The original members are dwindling. Recently saw Earth Wind and Fire and only 3 original members were on stage. Same with Kool and the Gang. Just 2.
