Well today we noticed that part of the screw holding the rear strut to the rail was missing. In the pix, it is the long part. Checked McMaster Carr and they come up short. The one on the Bennington is 1 13/16" between the bottom of the heads. Similar to

but longer.

Here is a pix of the hardware.

Any ideas to contact Benington for parts. This is a special bolt.

Thanks

I'd start with the dealer, they may even have the bolt on the shelf, when our boat was new we had one of the bolts loosen up and our dealer gave me a spare just incase we had another issue.

As stated, contact your local dealer. Bennington does not sell direct to consumer. You might check feebay... you might luck out.

Thanks. I sent a note to dealer. Will drop by there tomorrow. Grainger also carries similar ones but smaller barrel and threads. Like most boat dodads, special, special, special.....

I lost one of these as well. Contacted my guy at Bennington and he shipped them out right away. Your dealer will get you taken care of.

Even tried looking at clevis pins. Fastenal has some stainless 5/16x1.75 that might work. Dropped into HD and picked up a stainless 18-8 2.5" with a shoulder that is long enough. Can cut shorter and use a nylon lock nut on it. Should work fine for $3.50

Bennington dealers change as often as some change socks! In my area alone first look (late 2007) Houston Boating Center. Still looking a year later at Houston Boat Show Rinkers Boat World bought all of HBC stock. Got our RFSi 2577 from Rinker. Then Bennington changed hands to Texas Marine. Got parts there several times - still a Yamaha dealer. Benningtons now handled by SMG Wake. Four different dealers in a 40 mile radius in less than 10 years. Have not heard back from SMG guys.

I see you are in Willis. We were down there in the fall to scope out the area. Love it there. People were great and Lake Conroe looks to be a blast

Lakeliving, We've been here near Stowaway Marina at end of Calvary Rd since 2000. Our area is the beginning of the undiscovered east Texas hill country. We went out to Papas on the Lake for Steak Night yesterday afternoon. The lake was very angry with 20mph winds and gusts to 25. It was a rough trip but I managed to keep her afloat! I found the hardware at SMG Wake about 20 miles south of us. They had dozens on hand and the price was not bad at all. Found out they are a Yammi dealer so I picked up some maintenance items while in the store. They have a small lake out back to test boats and give wake board classes. It is some place I had never been in. http://www.smgboats.com/

I remember seeing SMG on the right when heading south from Willis. We stayed at The Landing at Seven Coves when we were there. If I can land a job in Houston doing what I do now we'd be on Lake Conroe in a heartbeat.
