Navigator Lights

I don't like the "hot" navigator lights that came on the bow of my boat. Has anyone changed out the bulbs for the LED? It's the oblong bulb about the size of a #2 pencil, and about 1" long, and just wedges between to end post, if I'm remembering correctly.
