I just got a used 2010 2275 rli I/o 6.2l

A couple of questions about the boat and operation.  This is my first pontoon.

1 How long do you run the blower?

2 What is the livewell switch for?

3 What would cause the power Bimini top and the power engine hatch to open slowly?

Thanks

Ron Cook

Run the blower for 5 minutes. If you don't have a livewell, it's an extra switch. The bimini and the hatch don't just pop up, so nobody gets hurt.

If you do have a livewell, I believe the switch turns on a pump to bring fresh water into the livewell for the fish.

Yup about 4 or 5 minutes for the blower. Gives it time to ventilate the engine compartment in case there are fuel vapors present that could possibly ignite...........

1-2 minutes is all I run the blower in my big boat prior to cold start.

If it's been run hard, I pop the hatch and run the blower for 5-10 minutes after final shut down. Just to dissipate any accumulated heat.

But that's a 24' cuddy cabin boat.

When I remember the blower  , not more than 30 seconds.  The hatch is very heavy and the actuator has a fine pitch to get the power it needs to work. Also find and mark where the emergency release for the hatch is before you have dead batteries.  I had to jump the switch with paperclips and a jump box. Very McGuyver operation.
