What type of steering? Hydraulic or cable? What year is the boat?
Is it hard to steer all of the time, only at certain speeds, hard to steer in both directions?
There are different things to check depending on the type of steering you have and the actual problem.

I had the same problem on my first 24' with a Yamaha 90.If I remember it turned easier to the Portside

Same experience here with my prior 22 sslx with a 115 and cable steering. Not much you can do aside from making sure the cable isn't being restricted somewhere.
