Any way to bypass? It makes it a PITA to back off the sand at the end of the day when beached. I have to turn the motor side to side to get the boat off, and if there are boats next to me it's not an ideal way to get off the beach. None of my other boats have had a limiter, so I have never had this problem before.

Wish I could help. I was not aware of a reverse rev limiter. At what RPM does it kick in? I have not had an issue backing off the sand in the channel or places I beach up-river, but will keep this is mind. I would give quality marine in Corona a call. I can't remember the name of the guy I have spoken with a few times. He is their verado expert and seems well known in the outboard world.http://www.qualityperformancemarine.com/

If you get an answer, post it for reference.

Cheers, Steve

I will contact them, thanks for the info. The limiter kicks in at about 2k. This past weekend the water had dropped, and I thought I was going to have people on the beach help push me off.
