Got caught in the rain on Sunday. Dried seats during quick break in rain but carpet was wet. Covered boat as there were more showers coming. Went to uncover this morning and very sour smell when took cover off. Left open until dark but carpet still wet in rear of boat. Plan to uncover tomorrow again but rain coming rest of week - any suggestions for a quicker dry out?

I'd try a couple of buckets of moisture absorbant like they sell in the RV section at Wal-Mart. I use it when I cover mine and all winter. Seems to help. At about $10 a bucket it might be worth it.

If you can run a fan under the cover it would also help.

shop vac then fan. also pet carpet cleaners removes order instantly.

+1 on the fan. I've done that before. But don't worry it'll dry and the musty temporary smell will go away...........
