What does the X stand for, i.e. SLX?

Hi all, long time lurker but it seems I maybe finally be in the market for a pontoon!  I'm thinking a 24' S series with SPS package, strakes, 150 HP Yamaha, vinyl floor, and not much else as I'm trying to keep the price low while getting the two most important options, SPS and 150 hp.   I'm looking at the floor plans on the Bennington website and they have SL, SLX, SF, SFX, etc.  Side by side I see no difference in the floor plans of the SL vs SLX, what does the X give you?

Thanks!

It is the railing around the boat, looks more *like* a G railing.

Yup, external panel rails, vs flat panels to the exterior.

If you are going with the S models I would definitely get an X model .

Last year I had to cancel a standard S.model because I too did not know the difference .

I think the X  rails looks better .Either way you wont be disappointed.

Now I am wearing out the Bennington build site ( and my dealers ear )

While in process of upgrading to an RCW .

Here is the Bennington Build site.

I'll definetly be going with an X model, looks a lot better for a small price difference. They have a great boat builder compared to other brands, but the X models are not explained at all on their site.

On the links above each pic ,the differences are explained on the standard features tab

My boat is a 2013 24 SL, but it has a "x" rail like the one pictured above. Anyone know why it would have this?

I think I remember reading they dropped the "X" in the model nomenclature this year. Now the SL is standard with external rails, but you could still order the other style.
