This may have already been covered...but I thought I'd throw it out there...

Can you just take the whole rig back to them, leave it there and tell them to solve the problem and let you know when to pick it up?

Maybe they have to take your trailer out from under the boat, and put a new one under there that is properly sold and registered?

I don't know the whole story, but I can honestly say - I would never own any part of this problem. Humans DO make mistakes. That is totally 100% accurate. And they fix them too.
