Took the boat out today with the motor raised. Conditions were windy and choppy so it was hard to find some clean water. I was still able to get 48.3 mph out of the boat at 6110 rpm's. Fuel amount was the same as it was when I pulled it right after I ran 44.7 at 5880. Overall it was a good...
It might have been Friday. I was out there Thursday through Sunday. I am pretty sure it was the same boat, because the other blacked out ones I know of have Mercs on them. If not you have a twin with the same tower...
If your boat is covered (by a roof) you don't need the poles. I am in a covered slip and the mooring cover I had made does not use poles. We get serious monssons on our lake with high winds, and I don't have any issues. Something to think about if you want a cover easier to take on and off.
I have almost an identical setup except my boat is a 2014. I am at 5880 at 44.7 MPH with a full tank, 2 people and normal gear (2 anchors etc...) I am having the motor raised from the 1st hole (deepest) to the second right now. I am going to test in on Havasu next week and see if I can get some...
I have two covers made when I bought the boat. One is a morring cover when it is in the covered slip, and one is a winter cover that covers the entire boat uncluding biminis. The mooring cover is very easy to put on and take off, and it's Sunbrella. The stock cover has too many snaps and is a...
This past weekend I got a low voltage warning on the SmartCraft system (hooked to a 300 Verado). The power steering then went out. I switched from battery 2 to both batteries and the power steering came back. The voltage read out on my chart plotter dropped from 14.1 to 12.6 and then slowly...
I though about a warranty claim, but honestly it's a bad design IMO. They will likely peel and break again. The boat is getting pulled for the season in November by the detailer, and I was think of just having them removed. He did a good job of removing some logos that the dealer put on when I...
Two of the the three Bennington logos (the upside down Nike looking ones) are peeling off my boat and have broken where they are thin at the tip. My old boat had more flexible logos and I did not have this problem, The ones on the new boat are hard plastic. I am thinking about having the...
Depends on where you boat. In Havasu you spend a lot of time either beached or at anchor playing in the water. When I was into offshore performance boating, I spent a lot more time running the boat between destinations.
