I received this from Bennington.. I'll assume it's right.. for now I will leave the 6 speakers as is.. once I rewire things tomorrow for the front, rear and sub rcs wires.. , I'll see how it sounds.. I still want to add 2 new subs..
I think after talking to kicker technical support.. I am going to replace my current Bennington SUB with the Kicker 8" tube, 4 ohms. Then add another second 8" 4ohm in parralle under the rear bench seat.
I first have to rewire my current kmc100 and kicker amp properly. I found out it's...
Either that, or there was an older headunit in there that didn't have a suboutput...
So I should get another set of rca cables and run front to amp 1, rear to amp2, and suboutput to sub input on amp
I am still not sure how speakers 5 and 6 are hooked up.. certainly not to zone 2, which is...
I have a question on placement. Lots of people putting it in the helm.. not sure if want to put it there with the delicate instruments...
I was either thinking 2 8" 4 ohm wired in parrallel kicker tubes. 1 in the front and another under the rear bench seat..
Or
Just doing 1 -10 4 ohm sub...
I pulled the panel underneath and have more questions....
Where to begin... first off. Only the rca wire for front and rear are used. Why wouldn't they use the sub rca cables to the amplifier?
Zone 2 is not used..
Maybe.. I guess I was thinking 1 in the front of the boat and 1 in the rear. Then the bass would fill the front and back. But maybe 1 would work.. if I do 1, I could choose 2 ohm or 4... maybe 4 would be better to reduce the power... if I do 1, then a 10" should fit under the rear...
So doing some more thinking.. I am wondering if i just keep the amp i have and buy 2 new 4 ohm subs. Run them in parrallel.. Possible 10" or 8". Whatever fits and be done. My current amp will drive 400w at 2 ohms..
On this amp, does the pass through allow me to run a 2nd sub with seperste amp? So use the sub outout on the headunit and daisy chain?

Thoughts on these amps
Use this for the 4 speakers and a sub.

Then use the 2ch version for the rear speakers.

I think that's the kind of power I am...
This is what's coming out. Is it simply connecting the rca cables front/rear/zone 2 to to a amp or amps and the connect the 6 speakers to the amp? Similar for the sub.
Is there power under the helm for these amps? Or do i need to run seperate power cable? Will that be difficult? Plus...
