Ok. Love the subwoofer in the back of the boat... now the front is lacking. Id like to figure out do i add another 10" tube and amplifier.. or save some money and utilize the existing factory sub and just add another amp for it...
Got my subwoofer installed today... sounding good.... Definitely more bass than the factory installed one... I need to play around with the amp setting to dial it in... it was a pain to run the wire...
Just bought the Kicker 10" 2ohm tube.. cant wait to get it wired up... putting it under the swingback... Hopefully not to hard to wire the speakers wire
Yes there is 12" to the bottom of the seat..
Do you think under the switchback back or under the rear seat?
Now to stress over running the new speaker wire...
Is it worth it to replace the factory Kicker speakers part number 43BKM614L with the newer version 45BKM654L? Would these just plug right in? The newer ones claim they are slightly better with higher wattage and better tweeter.
I was also looking at the Rockford M1 speakers, but I assume...
So out of these subs, which one would you choose? I do not have a space concern.. my plan is to disconnect the factory 8" sub under the front seat. And run new speaker wire to the Switchback where this new one will go.. i think all of these will sound better.
I want to use the existing...
Lol... didn't find any on your phone? Did you do the wiring yourself? Is it hard to wire speakers wire from the helm to the Switchback? I think i prefer the 10" 2ohm but want to put it under the switchback... then disconnect the front one.
I think rewiring the rear switchback...
I guess I am torn between the Kicker 8" tube in 4 ohms or the 10" tube in 2 ohms... its possible the 8" will fit in the existing sub location under the front seat.. whereas the 10" will need to go under the switchback but I need to figure out how to run the speaker wire there. I cant do...
Pics? I have the same boat.. what year? . Was it hard to run the additional wiring to the switch back from the helm? I wanted to avoid putting a sub in the helm in fear of breaking something from the bass.. do your rear switchback speakers light up?
