I was removing the lower unit to rebuild impeller/water pump and the pickup cable broke. It looks dried out/brittle. Can I run the motor without it. I don’t even have a Speedometer just an RPM gauge. I’d like to get back on the water for the 4th and deal with it in the fall.

Son attached the battery cables backwards and blew a few fuses. Replaced the fuses but the stereo wont turn on. I checked the voltage going to the constant and Acc wire and both have roughly 2.3V. Anything else I can troubleshoot? The fuse on the yellow wire blows/burns as soon as I turn the...
