Being cheap here and may would never use it, but do you think  the  MinnKota Pontoon 55 Hand Conrol Trolling Motor (55lbs Thrust, 52" Shaft) Would move a 22FT SSLX with SPS?   Nothing in strong winds or current.

I'd say yes, but the gators are everywhere down here that there is a little body of water. No harm, just have to respect them.  And on a side note, my wife prefers the Benny over the kayak when we get around them,lol.

 Small technicality but they are alligators down here,lol. I think they where just competing for the same real estate to soak up the southern sun. But we did get this one a couple months earlier.

 I feel as being a new boat owner myself, I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. I'm sure I'll filter a few things out as I go.

I can't compare but we did get the SPS with a 150 HP out the gate and couldn't ask for anything more. If you go with the SPS, consider the floor storage, I was amazed at how much room was down there.

Just bought a 2013 and it came out to 38% off the MSRP price from the build order. Now I did drive 240 miles one way.

Ok, we'll one more trip before polishing. With my wife and three out of four daughters we still hit 39 mph. Just need the water to warm up.

Picking up a used kneeboard tomorrow to see if these plates and old broken bones can handle it. Boat drinks my friends boat drinks.

Bcpnick, my wife got a few pics in on our first trip. Bald eagle and kingfisher but she is a bird nutt. hope to get some of the kids enjoying it as much as I do. Warm weather is here in the south just need the water to catch up.

I'd say she runs nice. Never had a toon before but happy with all the advice from here, no regrets. at 40 Mph could I get some kneeboarding in? I enjoyed that when I was younger.
