Being cheap here and may would never use it, but do you think the
MinnKota Pontoon 55 Hand Conrol Trolling Motor (55lbs Thrust, 52" Shaft)
Would move a 22FT SSLX with SPS?
Nothing in strong winds or current.
I'd say yes, but the gators are everywhere down here that there is a little body of water.
No harm, just have to respect them.
And on a side note, my wife prefers the Benny over the kayak when we get around them, lol.
Small technicality but they are alligators down here, lol.
I think they where just competing for the same real estate to soak up the southern sun.
But we did get this one a couple months earlier.
For the price i bought one of these, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E95J8MI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .
Just not sure where I want to mount it, looks nice.
I feel as being a new boat owner myself, I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. I'm sure I'll filter a few things out as I go.
I can't compare but we did get the SPS with a 150 HP out the gate and couldn't ask for anything more. If you go with the SPS, consider the floor storage, I was amazed at how much room was down there.
Bcpnick, my wife got a few pics in on our first trip. Bald eagle and kingfisher but she is a bird nutt.
hope to get some of the kids enjoying it as much as I do. Warm weather is here in the south just need the water to catch up.
I'd say she runs nice. Never had a toon before but happy with all the advice from here, no regrets.
at 40 Mph could I get some kneeboarding in?
I enjoyed that when I was younger.
